Before Union
Young prepped at White House High School where he played five years of varsity soccer. Young helped his team to the district title in 2011 and 2012, and a region title in 2012. His team advanced to three straight state tournaments, finishing as a state championship quarterfinalist in 2011 and a state semifinalist in 2012. Young also played for the Brentwood Premier Club Team, winning the state title in 2009 and 2010 and earning a spot in the title game match of the Disney Showcase. Young was named all-district, all-county, all-region, and was chosen as team captain. In 2013, he was named the District MVP. Off the field, Young was a member of the Beta Club, FCA president, and was president/co-editor of the yearbook. Young is the son of Greg and Tammy Young, and the younger brother of Union graduate Thomas.
