Before Union
Snelson transferred to Union from Miles College where he played his freshman season as lead off, batting .331 with two home runs, four triples, 10 doubles, 27 RBIs, and a .439 on-base percentage. Snelson prepped at Hartselle High School, playing both baseball and football and graduating with a 4.2 GPA with honors. In 2021, he helped lead the Tigers baseball team to the state championship, ending his season with a .351 batting average and a .585 on-base percentage. He also had the most hits (43), runs (39) and stolen bases (12).
