Before Union
Thomas prepped at Trinity Christian Academy, where he played four years of baseball, helping his team to two district titles, one region title, and a 2019 state tournament runner-up finish. Thomas was a two-time all-district player, the 2019 district Pitcher of the Year, and an all-region selection. As a junior, he posted a 2.76 ERA in 55 innings; his senior year numbers were similar, a 2.56 ERA in 56 frames. His brother Tyler was a member of the Union baseball team from 2017-2020.
