Before Union
Botwinick prepped at Briarcrest Christian School where he played four years of golf and one season of basketball. He helped his team to the region title in 2016. Botwinick was named Best of the Preps three years in a row. He finished seventh overall in the state tournament as a junior. His teams posted a second place finish in 2016 in the state championships, and third place finishes in 2014 and 2015. Off the course, Botwinick was a member of the National Honors Society.
