JACKSON, Tenn.- The Gulf South Conference named Abigail Bryan Freshman of the Week following competition from February 16-22. This is her fourth time being named for a weekly award in her rookie year.

Bryan contributed to Union's 2-0 went as she averaged 14.5 points and totaled five assists, four steals and five rebounds. The frosh guard began the week scoring a season-high 22 points at West Florida, making 7-of-12 (.583) from the field, including 5-of-8 (.633) from behind the arc, and was 3-for-3 from the charity stripe. Her four steals and 32 minutes played were season-highs for Bryan. 

Bryan continues to grow into a steady backcourt presence for the Lady Bulldogs, combining confidence, efficiency and defensive intensity well beyond her freshman status.

The Lady Bulldogs play their final pair of home games this week (2/25 and 2/27) before jumping into the GSC postseason.
