BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Gulf South Conference named
Will Lovings-Watts the GSC Player of the Week. This follows performances from December 1-7.
Lovings-Watts is the first Men's Basketball GSC Player of the Week since
Parker Applegate received the honor on January 7
th, 2025.
Lovings-Watts averaged 25 points and eight rebounds as the Bulldogs went 1-1 on the week and picked up their first win in GSC play. The junior had a standout performance to earn a double-double with 26 points and 11 defensive rebounds in an 84-78 win over Delta State. Lovings-Watts also registered 24 points and five rebounds, while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line in an 85-71 loss to Mississippi College.
The transfer from JMU has found his footing on the Bulldog squad and has been a consistent force on both ends of the court.
The Bulldogs return home to face off against Blue Mountain Christian (12/11) at 7:00 p.m.
