JACKSON, Tenn.- The Gulf South Conference named Christian Harjanne the GSC Player of the Week for week seven. This award encompasses competition from October 13-19.
Additionally, the Tennessee Sports Writers Association named Harjanne to their list of players of the week.
These awards follow Harjanne's consistent performance on the pitch this weekend. Every shot he took, he scored a point for the Bulldogs.
More specifically, his performance on Sunday against Spring Hill College put him in the running for these honors. Harjanne earned himself a hat trick in a little more than a half of competition. His goals where mostly assisted by Ostian Bowen occurred in the 13
th minute, 15
th minute, and 51
st minute.
Harjanne, the finisher from Finland, has been a Bulldog his whole collegiate career. Before this season he has accumulated 3 goals and 2 assists. Harjanne has already surpassed his previous career totals this season, emerging as one of Union's most dangerous attacking threats and a key leader in the Bulldogs' offensive surge.
The Bulldogs return home this weekend for matches against AUM (10/24) and Montevallo (10/26) as a part of Union's Homecoming home slate. Fans can look forward to seeing Harjanne and the squad in action free of charge thanks to FirstBank.
