BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- On October 2^nd, the GSC named Brooklyn Verdugo GSC Golfer of the week. This award encompasses performances from September 25-30.

This is Verdugo's fifth GSC weekly award for her collegiate career. This honor follows her third-place finish at the Lady Bulldog Desert Classic in Palm Desert Calif. She parred 38 of the tournament's 54 holes and earned herself 7 birdies. She helped the Lady Bulldogs to a third-place finish for the Classic.

Verdugo showcased her steady play throughout the tournament, finishing with a 219 overall score to secure her spot among the top three golfers in the field.

Up next for the women's golf team will be their final event of the fall. Union travels to St. Simon Island, Georgia, October 6-7 for the St. Simons Intercollegiate.
