FLORENCE, Ala. - The Union University men's cross country team posted a third place finish in the University of North Alabama Invitational. The 8K event featured nine teams with 81 runners and took place at MacFarland Park.Â
Union's
Aaron Fynaardt, a sophomore from West Des Moines, Iowa, was the top Bulldog finisher in sixth place with a time of 25:05.Â
Division I schools Jacksonville State (Alabama) and North Alabama took first and second place. Union finished ahead of Gulf South Conference foe West Florida's fourth-place finish.Â
Ryan Keeton (26:04) and
Tristan Kelly (26:14) both posted top-20 finishes in the 16th and 19th spots respectively.Â

Up next for Union will be a race in Memphis September 21 at Shelby Farms hosted by Rhodes College.Â
