JACKSON, Tenn. - The Union University cross country program placed three runners on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams.
Ryan Keeton,
Mary Scott Tritt, and
Chloe Veilleux each earned the honor.Â
Veilleux, a 5-foot-5 senior from Yampa, Colorado, ran in six races with a top-10 finish at Montevallo. She was named second team All-GSC with a 19th place finish as Union's top runner. Veilleux is an exercise science major.
Tritt, a 5-foot-8 sophomore from Bells, Tennessee, ran in six races with a best time of 19:40. She helped Union to a sixth-place finish at the GSC Championships. She was Union second best finisher in 38th place. Tritt is majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology.Â
Keeton, a 6-foot-2 sophomore from Fairview, Tennessee, helped Union to an eighth-place finish at the GSC Championships. He was third on the team with a 46th place finish. Keeton is an engineering major.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
