JACKSON, Tenn. - Union University's Jordan Pyke has been named the Gulf South Conference Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the week ending Nov. 12. This is Pyke's first freshman of the week award this season.
 
Pyke, a 6-foot-7 forward and guard from Greensboro, N.C., helped Union to a 2-0 record this week. On Nov. 10 against Tuskegee University, he played over 15 minutes, collecting three rebounds, two assists, and 25 points, 19 of which came in the second half. In Union's second game of the week, on Nov. 11 against Lane College, Pyke played over 19 minutes with three rebounds, one steal, and nine points.
