JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University Women's Golf program announced its signing class for the 2023-24 season.
Camille Burnette (Jackson, Tenn.),
Olivia Carroll (Germantown, Tenn.), and
Abigail Fernandez (Windmere, Fla.) will join Union's Women's Golf this fall.
Camille Burnette, a 5-foot-10 freshman, prepped at Fayette Academy where she played four years of golf and four years of basketball. She was named first-team All-District twice in basketball and was named to the All-Metro Girls Golf Team in 2022. She holds the Highest placement in a State Championship golf tournament in Fayette Academy's school history when she placed fifth in 2022. Off the course, she was a member of the NHS, an Honor Roll Member, and was voted the Chaplin of her NHS Chapter.
Abigail Fernandez, a 5-foot-7 freshman, prepped at Circle Christian School where she played golf for five years. She helped lead her team to two district championships, one regional championship, and one state runner-up finish. She also helped lead the team to multiple district and regional runner-up finishes. Individual in 2019 she was listed as the most improved, 2020 she was given the heart of the team award, and in 2021 she was given the team spirit award. In 2022 she shot even par posting a top-ten finish at the FHSAA Class 1A State Championship. Off the course, she is an Honor Roll member and was listed on the AB Honor Roll.
Olivia Carroll, a 5-foot-one freshman, prepped at Briarcrest Christian School where she played four years of golf and one year of softball. She has been awarded the MVP of her girl's golf team for three years in a row. Her senior year she was named captain of the golf team her senior year. In her senior year, she shot 2 under to win the Fellowship Christian Athletes tournament. Off the course, she was a member of the NHS, National Spanish Honor Society, and National Art Honor Society.
