Interview Requests:
Most practices for Union sports are open to the media, unless special circumstances deem it necessary for the head coach to close practice. Interview requests for Union athletes, coaches, and staff should be made through the Union Sports Information Department. Requests made at least 24 hours in advance is desired, but not required.
Coaches and players will be available for interviews at the conclusion of each home event. Please check with sports information staff for location and postgame interview requests.
Press Row - Fred DeLay Gymnasium: (basketball/volleyball):
Events played in Fred DeLay Gymnasium will include press locations at the media table on the floor area opposite the benches/scorer's table. Home radio and video has an area reserved in the elevated "crow's nest" opposite the scorer’s table. Press row is equipped with a phone lines, wireless internet, two ethernet connections and electrical outlets. The crow's nest is used for home radio, as well as, the home and visiting film crews. Visiting radio will be on the media table accross from the benches/scorer's table for broadcasting. The crow's nest is equipped with two phone lines, wireless internet, two ethernet connections and electric outlets. Several spaces are available for use, but home and visiting staff and media will have first option, with first-come-first-served after that. Make reservation request through the Union Sports Information Department.
Press Box - Fesmire Field (baseball/softball) and Smith Soccer Complex (soccer):
The baseball, softball and soccer fields have press box areas elevated above the concessions. The press box area is temperature controlled, but also has options to open windows for broadcast and video purposes. The press box areas for baseball, softball and soccer included wireless internet, four ethernet connections and electrical outlets. The baseball and softball press box has an addition phone line for radio use. Several spaces are available for use, but home and visiting staff and media will have first option, with first-come-first-served after that.
